other events we have:
Culture Show
Our pride and joy – Culture Show. Starting in January, we form dance groups that practice weekly leading up to the show in May. Though it might seem like a lot of time, dance practices are a great place to make friends and let loose. No prior dance experience required! The show consists of over 10 acts tied together by a skit. Join to learn a new dance, how to sing, or just to get involved in a new community.
retreat
Every year, we drive a few hours either towards Tahoe or somewhere near the coast! Getting off-campus helps us get out of a school environment and allows us to bond as a club! We come in as semi-strangers, and come out as better friends.
Diwali
We honor the Hindu holiday of the Festival of Lights with a night of dressing up, music, food, and dance on campus. In years past, we have even had a photo booth! (Everyone is welcome, even if you aren't Hindu. Outfits also not required!).
HOLI
Collaborating with Campus Ministry, we hold an annual Holi celebration on-campus for all students to participate in the Festival of Colors. Entrance is free, everyone is welcome to come and splash color over their friends!
BONFIRE NIGHT and welcome bbq
On campus, we start off the year by roasting some s'mores late at night. It's a great time to swap some campfire stories!
SEv dandia
A group of members get together, dress up, and attend the local event of SEF Dandia! It is a night where thousands of locals come to dance the night away at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
...AND MORE!
As a club in the MCC, we often collaborate with other cultural clubs to have events. We have had noodle nights with JSA, and even collaborated with other clubs for the annual "Get Down!". We even have sports tournaments throughout the year.
